  • Description
  • The Domino Damselfish is an interesting and very hardy damsel. Domino Damselfish have a mostly completely black body with two bright white spots.

Domino Damselfish reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Domino Damselfish are aggressive fish, but shouldn't bother most fish, coral on inverts. This makes them a good addition to reef tanks.

Domino Damselfish will mostly be aggressive towards other damsels or similarly sized fish. Most of the aggressiveness is over their claimed territories. To help reduce this aggression, add your Domino Damselfish later to the tank or keep them in a larger tank. Domino Damselfish are very hardy fish as well, which makes them a good choice for beginner aquarists.

Domino Damselfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Domino Damselfish healthy and happy.
