  • Description
  • The Red Orange Crab is a stunning and colorful crab. Red Orange Crabs have a fiery red body that will add a dash of color to most tanks.

Red Orange Crabs are semi-aggressive crabs and shouldn't pose too much of a threat to other fish and inverts in your tank. As the Red Orange Crab gets larger it might start to eat fish and inverts though. For this reason if you want to add a Red Orange Crab to your reef tank you must proceed with caution. Red Orange Crabs will most be scavengers, but they can become aggressive.

Red Orange Crabs should be kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in during the day. At night the Red Orange Crab will come out and go around the tank looking for leftover meaty foods. Red Orange Crabs should not be kept with overly aggressive fish that like to eat inverts like large triggers and puffers, or they will end up on the menu.

Red Orange Crabs will get most of their nutrition from the food they can find in the tank like leftover food. If you would like to supplement their diet, you could use foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods.
