  • Description
  • The Strawberry Crab is a very colorful smaller crab. Strawberry Crabs have a mostly pinkish red body with white spots on its shell.

Strawberry Crabs reach a maximum size of around 2 inches and should be able to be kept in most size tanks. Strawberry Crabs are semi-aggressive and might harm smaller fish and other inverts like shrimp. For these reasons if you want to add a Strawberry Crab to your reef tank, you must proceed with caution.

Strawberry Crabs will be a good addition to your clean up crew, since they will roam your tank looking for leftover foods. Strawberry Crabs should be most active during the evening and night time hours as well. If you have overly aggressive larger fish, they might try to eat Strawberry Crabs if they are out in the open.

Strawberry Crabs are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Strawberry Crabs get most of their nutrition through foods they can find. If you don't feed your tank must and want to supplement their diet, you can add foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as high quality flake foods to the tank for the Strawberry Crab to eat.
