  • Description
  • Sea Slugs are very interesting and beautiful invertebrates. Sea Slugs come in a huge variety of colors and have very different appearances. Most Sea Slugs have very interesting markings and are very popular with aquarists. Since Sea Slugs come in some many different colors and patterns, please make sure you have picked the one you are most interested in when adding a Sea Slug to your cart.

Sea Slugs are very peaceful creatures and shouldn't bother any other inverts, fish or corals in your tank. This makes the Sea Slug a great addition to your reef tank. Sea Slugs will spend most of their days foraging for leftover food and algae in your tank. This makes the Sea Slug a great addition to your clean up crew.

Sea Slugs should be housed in tanks with lots of live rock and sand for them to hide in and look for small meals. Sea Slugs are very sensitive to poor water quality and copper. If the water quality isn't pristine or copper medications have been used in the tank, the Sea Slug might perish. Sea Slugs are susceptible to being harmed by powerheads, pumps and overflows as well, so you must make sure they are covered and won't suck in the Sea Slug.

Sea Slugs are omnivores and should get most of their nutrition through foods they find in your tank. If you would like to supplement their diet, you can try adding foods like mysis or brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods to your tank.

If you have any questions about the Sea Slug and if it's the right invert for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
